Our purpose
AWACL equips African women to lead with confidence, emotional intelligence and an unmistakable sense of purpose.
We believe Africa’s future is shaped when women are prepared to influence businesses, communities, governments and society. Our learning experiences unite global leadership standards with a deeply African understanding of identity, resilience and opportunity.
Brief Introduction
The African Women's Academy for Confidence and Leadership (AWACL) is a Zimbabwe-registered, online-first leadership formation academy dedicated to developing confident, emotionally intelligent and disciplined women leaders across Africa and beyond. Through structured, cohort-based programmes, AWACL equips women with the mindset, behaviours and leadership competencies required to lead with confidence, clarity and impact.
Our Story
AWACL was established in 2025 after recognising that many educated and capable African women continue to struggle with confidence, executive presence and leadership identity. The Academy was created to bridge the gap between potential and visible leadership through practical, behaviour-focused leadership development rather than motivation alone.
Vision
A future where women lead visibly, confidently and decisively across Africa, with influence beyond its borders.
Mission
To develop confident, emotionally intelligent women leaders through structured, cohort-based programmes that translate mindset into consistent leadership behaviour.
